Traditionally, the long-term, chronic problem of addiction has been treated by a series of responses to short-term, acute difficulties. Treatment centers become "revolving doors." Cycles of hospitalization and/or incarceration are common.
Increasingly. the long-term nature of these diseases is finally being recognized. Effective treatment is now known to take years rather than a few weeks. There are many roles that can be assist the suffering addict recover. Pastoral Counseling Center is developing a series of courses specifically designed to help address the issues of addiction.
The role of a coach is becoming fundamental to the recovery of those suffering from a life-controlling addiction. Here will be an opportunity for you to learn how to effectively be of service to those so afflicted.
The courses are being designed to help those called to become beneficial. supportive coaches, mentors, and friends of those suffering from an addiction. We look forward to offering you the best in addiction training.
